Why is Language Learning More Challenging for Adults?
I'm Miroslav Pešta, founder of the Mooveez Company. For years, my colleagues and I have searched for the best way for adults to learn languages. We wondered: why do we struggle with learning new languages, while children do it with ease? Why do we have to spend hours cramming vocabulary and perfecting our pronunciation, while children just get to play and babble?
Searching for the answer
Driven by this question we set out to understand how children acquire their first language and what changes as they grow older. Our research led to some interesting discoveries and raised another question: Can we learn new languages as effortlessly as babies by following their learning? The answer is yes!
Learning a language like children
We found several key reasons why children are such effective learners. The first is that they are constantly immersed in their native language and have countless opportunities to interact with it in various contexts. This exposure allows them to listen, repeat, understand, and eventually communicate.
The second crucial aspect is that they have no fear or shame when making mistakes. They view errors as a natural part of the learning process and boldly experiment with language.
Master the language by returning to the basics
We believe that everyone has the potential to learn any language. To ease this process, we need to return to the way children learn. That's why at Mooveez, we’ve created a revolutionary method that allows students to make meaningful progress and gain confidence in their target language by learning just like kids.
Immerse yourself in the language environment and embrace the learning process without fear of making mistakes. Join us at Mooveez and discover the joy of enhancing your language skills, regardless of your age or prior experience. Let's embark on this exciting journey together!
